About me
I'm a 27 year old fashion designer, I studied at Chelsea College of Art and Design specialising in recycled textiles and moved to Brighton in 2004 when I graduated.
When I moved to Brighton I began designing for fashion label Red Mutha and was assistant manager of the company for 3 years.
I have recently begun working for local pr company Rageous Media which has increased my interest in online promotion and inspired me to set up The Brighton Gallery with my brilliant web designing husband Bevan Stephens! The instant success of The Brighton Gallery inspired us to apply the same principles to a global website, and TUG was born!
I have exhibited my work and run stalls at a wide range of events, from large scale exhibitions such as the Craft Council exhibition 'Well Fashioned', to European trade shows such as Pret a Porter, Pitti Filate, Indigo and Premiere Vision, to consumer fairs such as The Clothes Show, Fashion Made Fair, Dirty Fashion, Red Mutha Fashion Fair and Thread Show, to festivals such as Bestival, Galstonbury, Glade, Global Gathering, Bloom and Brighton Pride.
I specialise in ethical fashion and have been interviewed about this subject on Al Gore's cable channel 'Current'. I was also involved in research for the Crafts Council exhibition, 'Well Fashioned' and felt privileged to have several samples of my own work in, what I consider to be, a landmark event in eco fashion.
I have recently set up my own fashion label -
